Next Membership Meeting: Wednesday, June 4th @ 7:00pm at the Italian
Workingman's Club
May Meeting Notes
More discussion was held on the new pavilion. The club has decided upon a location
but the renewed interest in a wood pavilion has drawn out the process a bit. At the next meeting, detailed plans and
costs for the new wooden structure will be brought to the meeting for a final vote. The issue will be put to bed at
the June meeting as this is the last meeting before the summer recess.
The water testing done on the club pond showed that the PH was off a bit. Plans are
underway to have a ton of limestone delivered to the club. The stone is dissolvable and should correct the pond's PH,
though it will take some time.
A brief discussion was held regarding the possibility of installing an automatic skeet
throwing machine at the club. Though most members seemed in favor, it was decided that the club should wait until the
pavilion issue has been resolved before we discuss the issue any further.
Lastly, Jason Sartini pointed out that members of our club are able to purchase military
surplus firearms through a program called the Civil Marksmanship Program. Anybody interesed in purchasing a firearm
can read up about the program at http://www.odcmp.com/. Here a list of available guns is also available. Come to the next meeting with a check if interested in
placing an order.
